Bima City has the potential of natural resources that supported land and climate conditions are suitable for agricultural development. Cultivation fisheries production reached 553,10 tons per year, consisting of 508.49 tonnes of fishpond cultivation and from the pond (Karamba) of 44.61 tonnes. Fishery production from marine capture of 1053.10 tons per year, and public waters of 11.60 tonnes. In addition to the production of fish, other marine production is seaweed with wide 5 Ha and production of wet seaweed as much as 38.40 tons per year.
The industrial sector plays an important role in economic activities. Industries in the Bima city is a small industry with a number of business units as much as 768 units and provide employment for 1959 people. The number of industries specified by type of craft is the wood industry as much as 228 units, metal/precious metal as much as 113 units, woven cloth 31 units, 230 units of food and other types of business people as much as 166 units. Meanwhile, the number of households as many as 860 industrial units with a total workforce of 2659 people.
While the tourism sector represents a huge potential to be developed, considering the support of several other sectors. The tourism sector is a potential multi-sector, certainly support and coordination between the field is something to be access to an optimal implementation of tourism activities.
